Well, what an adventure we are going on!   A new Motor Home and reservations at Walt Disney Worlds Fort Wilderness Campground.   We are excited!!!  We figured why not start out at the best campground around on our very first trip.    We will be driving down and the kids will be flying down to meet us.   As usual, we'll get there a few days early to scout the place out and to make sure we know what the heck we're doing.   We get there and it's raining like crazy.   The first thing into the gates and the guard gives us a quiz on Pirates of the Caribbean......Arrrrrgh!!!   We finally get through the gates and find our site,  oh man....that's a tight corner!!   No problem!!  A few minutes later and John has perfectly backed the camper into place!  What a pro,   born to RV!  Now we start setting up camp, such as it is....move out the slide and take out lawn chairs.....ta-da!     We're done!

It's a really nice campground, although some, make that most of the sites are small.   They are all concrete pads though, and that makes it nice.   When we got there it had been raining for most of the month, so things were soggy, to say the least.   A bumper crop of mosquitoes where on hand.  There seem to be a individual swamp at each site!   It did clear off for us,  which made it nice and steamy!!   What can you expect for July in Florida though??   Still, we had fun.    Kerri, Scott and the kids stayed in the cabins.  They were really cute.   They had bunk beds and a full size bed in the bedroom,  along with a Murphy bed in the living room.   There was a cute kitchen and eating area.  Once again, they had a swamp too!  And about a million tiny frogs!!!   I'm sure Mitch was in heaven with that!   Emily wasn't so sure!   Here are a few shots from the campground and some other favorite spots around WDW.   BTW, our friend, Cindy in California has dubbed the Motor Home....The Motor Mansion.  It has stuck!

  I'm ready for my close-up!

Here's our golf cart we rented, a necessity.

Kerri and I found a porch to sit and rest

Dinner at "Olivia's" at OKW...my favorite place for fried chicken and mashed potatoes!!!

Us girls and Mitch decided to take a boat ride, they were a little sluggish, but still fun. You don't realize how big the other boats are out there till you are right next to them in one of these!!

There is always so much to do at WDW. Sometimes it's hard to figure out what to do next, or to just hang out.  We thought the kids would get a real kick out of the campgrounds.  When we asked Emily what she thought of it,  she said " It's fun but, it's  no Boardwalk"!   Sigh.....I guess we've spoiled them.    But they'd go again in a heartbeat!   So would I.

There were too many pictures to put on one page,  I'll have more up on another page soon, and you can always visit our WDW site at www.johnswdwpage.com .
